Just Off the Easel

Passions

Oil
24 X 30
This painting is a tribute to my husband who passed away last year. He used to laugh and tell people that I had two passions, him and art and it would depend on the time of day which one came first. The boots were Jim's. The 4 roses on the left represent my 3 children and me before Jim came into our lives. The two roses at the focal point represent Jim and I. The rose off to the right now represent me alone. The lace runner was my grandmothers and a tribute to families and how they continue to weave their way through time.
